Spa & sauna landscape

Forget everyday life when in our spa with sauna landscape

The spa area of our 4*wellness hotel gives you a real sense of connection with nature, with a lovely atmosphere of well-being created by its large windows, various rest & quiet rooms, sun terraces with panoramic views, pleasant colours, and wooden furnishings.

Experience nature by diving into our outdoor pool or natural bathing pool and enjoy the fragrance of different herbs in our herb sauna. Our log cabin sauna, Black Forest “Schwitzstube” and “Salzstollen” saunas add to the relaxing atmosphere for your well-being.

Our saunas at the Wellnesshotel Heselbacher Hof

“Schnapsdestille” log cabin sauna

With a temperature of 70 to 80°C and an air humidity of 15 to 30%, you alternate between sweating and cooling off. A sauna visit has a firming and purifying effect, making your skin rosy and firm, and giving you an all-round feeling of well-being. The Finnish sauna also has a positive effect on the blood circulatory system. Those with circulatory problems should only use the sauna after consulting their doctor.

Recommended time: 15 minutes
Open from 13:00 to 19:00.

Times of sauna infusions are available at wellness reception or in our hotel newspaper.

“Schwarzwälder Schwitzstube”

This sauna is a sweat room with heat distributed across the walls and the benches. The temperature is relatively low for a sweat room, at 45 to 50°C, with an air humidity of 40%. This starts the body sweating slowly and achieves a natural high temperature in the body, detoxifying it, opening the skin’s pores, and strengthening the immune system. Afterwards, your skin is particularly receptive to care products

Recommended time: 30 minutes
Open from 10:00 to 19:00.

“Salzstollen” salt grotto

The air humidity of approx. 50 to 60 % facilitates the rapid uptake of the salty air at a pleasant temperature of 40 to 45°C.
In every intake of breath, you take in valuable minerals and micro-elements, raising your physical and spiritual performance levels and your body’s defence mechanisms. A visit to the salt grotto harmonises body, soul, and spirit.

Recommended time: 30 minutes
Open from 10:00 to 19:00.

Herb sauna

The herb sauna is a low-temperature sauna that is ideal for those new to saunas. As a gentle experience, it is also especially suited to those with circulatory problems. The herbal extracts (e.g. camomile, eucalyptus, mint, lemon) boil away, giving their beneficial fragrances to the sauna air. The temperature is about 55 to 60°C. The precious oils have a positive effect on respiratory tracts and your skin. These can be stimulating, but also relaxing.

Recommended time: 20 to 25 minutes
Open from 11:00 to 19:00.

Natural bathing pool

Enter the refreshing cool water after a sauna visit

From March/April through to October, after a sauna refresh yourself by cooling down in the naked natural bathing pool.
